On Tuesday the 25th of October a debate for students and young entrepreneurs with representatives of the Dutch Government took take place in The Hague.
During several workshops the question of how young entrepreneurship should be approached was debated. The results were presented during a debate with representatives of the ministry of Social Affairs and the ministry of Economic Affairs.
The main points
raised were:
- Young entrepreneurs need to learn how to network better. They can learn this at school and from a mentor.
- Banks should consider time, expertise, and materials as own investments made by entrepreneurs when considering a loan application of a young entrepreneur.
- Information for young entrepreneurs needs to be easy to find, relevant and accessible, in a language and form that they understand. The government can educate young entrepreneurs by presenting 'best practices' and positive role models.
